Born in 2018, Antonia’s is a life-changing project for Isabel Rio.
Former textile designer of Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein Collection and Carolina Herrera, she always felt strongly committed to authenticity, heritage and quality.
Isabel is also part of the second generation of graduates from the MFA Fashion Design and Society program at Parsons New York. When she showed her first collection in NY, her models were wearing espadrilles and that is where it all started. She realized people where more interested in her shoes than her clothes. She moved back home and look into her roots to create something close to her heart and love for textiles and craftsmanship.
The name of the company makes reference to her family, both her grandmother and father passed away recently and they were both called Antonio and Antonia. She wanted to keep them close to her in this new endeavor and bring some of their
magical spirit to the brand.
